What Unchained Talent Does

In addition to honing their artistic talents, students also benefit from:

Life skills trainings and job skill development
    Mentoring
  • trainings include money management, sexuality, health, anger management, conflict resolution, integrity, commitment, reliability and professionalism
  • Stipends/jobs/AmeriCorps education awards - Unchained Talent provides youth stipends/education awards for performing and leadership as we are able, to help support our students and their very real financial responsibilities while they use their influential peer voice to share their skills and knowledge with their peers
College Access Mentor Program
  • Mentors who work one-on-one with Unchained Talent students to help them prepare for, apply to and get accepted into college. Most of our students will be first-generation college students, so our mentors help demystify the process and help teach the tenacity it takes both to apply to and to be successful in college and career.
  • Scholarships for those pursuing the performing arts in post-secondary education
Mentoring
  • Unchained Talent students work with professional and volunteer artists from area colleges and community theatre groups to hone their artistic and professional skills for college and career.
  • Unchained Talent staff serve as a trusted, consistent and reliable force in our students' lives to help them overcome whatever personal obstacles prevent them from achieving their artistic, personal and professional goals.
